I AM INTERESTED IN LEARNING TATTOOING. HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Becoming a tattoo artist is a journey, and there are many different paths you can take to get started. Some choose a traditional apprenticeship, while others are self-taught or rely on online resources. However, no matter how you choose to learn, it's important to continually develop your skills and seek out guidance from experienced mentors.
Regardless of your background or experience level, I've designed my 2-day tattoo course to be inclusive and welcoming to all aspiring artists. With a focus on hands-on learning and mentorship, you'll receive personalized guidance and feedback that will help you refine your technique and develop your own unique style.
Unlike quick crash courses that rush straight into model work, this course is thoughtfully structured to give you more time to learn, practice, and build confidence in a safe, guided environment. You'll start with foundational knowledge and hands-on training, then have the option to continue growing through future 1:1 shadow and model sessions once you're ready to take that next step.
Everyone should have the opportunity to explore their creative potential and turn their passion into a fulfilling career. My goal is to help aspiring artists discover the world of tattooing and turn it into a profession they love, achieving creative and financial freedom.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
In our 2-day course, aspiring artists will learn everything they need to know to get started as a beginner tattoo artist. The course includes comprehensive training on setting up a tattoo station, how to use and adjust your machine, design and create stencils, understand skin anatomy, choose the right needle size and length, and balance hand speed, pressure, and machine voltage to achieve the best work. We'll also cover tattooing different body parts, preventing and fixing blowouts, shading, using colored inks and maintaining sanitation during the tattooing process.
Our course is designed to include both theory and practical practice time to ensure that you receive real-time feedback and can correct any issues at the root of it. We'll share my best tips on how to keep your hand steady, work with your breath for maximum precision and accuracy, and create steady, even lines.
Additionally, we'll discuss the business side of being a tattoo artist, including certification and permits, insurance, documentation, aftercare, and client consent forms. We'll also explore the importance of social media and how to create a captivating marketing strategy to promote your work and grow your client base.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE LIKE?
Classes are kept intentionally small with just 3-4 students per session, to ensure plenty of individual attention and hands-on support. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. We offer multiple training options to fit different budgets and preferences. $1000 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot with the remainder due on the first day of class. Class is from 11AM-5PM on both days.
Option 1 ($2900) – Two-Day Course (* no machine or take home materials provided) This option includes just the 2-day beginner tattoo course. You’ll learn all the basics you need to get started and have lots of hands-on practice time using fake skin with real-time feedback. Materials aren’t included, so you’ll need to bring your own tattoo machine. We’ll provide practice supplies for class, but there’s no take-home kit with this option.
Option 2 ($3200) – Two-Day Course + Starter Kit This option includes everything from the 2-day beginner tattoo course in Option 1, plus a full starter kit to help you keep practicing at home. The kit comes with a versatile, tried-and-true wireless tattoo machine and a tote bag packed with essentials—like a mix of tattoo needles (in different brands and sizes), tattoo ink, ink caps, dental bibs, machine sleeves and wraps, green soap, stencil solution, aftercare bandages, practice skins, and tons of practice stencils to help you keep practicing and improving after class.
Add-On ($650) – 1:1 Shadow & Model Sessions This add-on includes two personalized sessions with your instructor to help you gain real-world experience and build confidence. First, you’ll shadow your instructor during a live client tattoo session, with time to observe, ask questions, and discuss your progress. Then, on a separate day, you’ll return to tattoo your own model under guided supervision (Please note: you are responsible for bringing your own model). If you’re interested in scheduling this add-on, please reach out to your instructor within three months of completing the class.
DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! Payments are made via square which offers Afterpay, allowing you to spread payments over interest-free installments. There is an additional 6% fee for Afterpay.
